Pakistan Chemists & Druggists Association (PCDA), in a letter sent to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Ministers of four provinces, has requested for removal of unnecessary restrictions that would affect the supplies of healthcare and pharmaceutical supplies badly, resulting in the severe shortages of the health related products.
Chairman PCDA, Khalid Saeed asked the federal and provincial governments to take immediate action to ensure a smooth supply of health products and drugs in the city and across the country and to obtain authorization from carriers and couriers to collect and deliver health and pharmaceutical products.
Notably, importers and manufacturers also face inter-provincial difficulties due to lack of transportation services and even courier service providers have not been able to function well due to severe unofficial restrictions imposed by the placing authorities lockdown implementation.
