National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has banned the entry of visitors at the bureau’s headquarters in Islamabad as well as all regional offices with immediate effect. According to a press release issued on Saturday, NAB regional offices in Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Multan, Sukkur and Gilgit-Baltistan have been told not to allow visitors until further notice as a precautionary measure against coronavirus.
Moreover, the NAB chairman will chair a high-level meeting at the NAB Headquarters on Tuesday, March 24, to devise a strategy with regard to the coronavirus outbreak. The meeting will be attended among others by the NAB deputy chairmen, prosecutor general accountability, director general operations and other senior officials. The regional DGs will also participate in the meeting via video link. The participants of the meeting will devise a strategy regarding coronavirus, which will be formally announced on Tuesday.
