Five members of a family died when the roof of their house collapsed after heavy rains in Mardan on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Farish Colony area of Tehsil Katlang district Mardan, when the roof of a house caved in after heavy rains. The roof of the house was collapsed in the night but people of the area remained unaware of the incident due to wind storm, local people said. Five people died including Zakirullah, his wife and their three children. The bodies were shifted to local hospital for postmortem. In another incident in May this year in Takht Bai area near Mardan, four people had died when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed. After being informed about the incident, the rescue teams reached the spot and recovered the bodies from the rubble with the help of residents and shifted them to hospital.
