The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday approved a summary for an increase in the per-unit price of electricity. NEPRA approved an Rs 1.49 per unit increase in the price of electricity. However, this will not be applicable to K-Electric. The price increase will impact, residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural consumers. The electricity price increase will cost consumers in excess of Rs 189 billion.
