The hearing of the Islamabad District Court attack case was adjourned on Thursday without any proceeding due to the transfer of ATC judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi. The case pertained to an attack on the Islamabad District Court, in which many lawyers, citizens and senior judge Rafaqat Hussain were killed in 2014, and was being tried in the ATC. The court had already recorded the statements of witnesses in the case, while Rafaqat Hussain’s security guard Babar had already been released, who had stated that the judge was accidentally killed by the fire of his 9mm pistol during the terrorist attack. Five accused have been indicted in the case.
