The Roots Millennium Education organised Edexcel High Achievers and International Award Ceremony, 2019, here at the Pakistan-China Friendship Centre, according to a press release issued by the organisation.
More than 1,000 learners were awarded Edexcel Achievement Awards, Edexcel Progressive Awards, IBIC, IKLC, IKMC and IKSC certificates, along with many other international awards such as medals and certificates for The World Scholars Cup, YCT certificates and trophies, swimming championship certificates and trophies, Spellathon certificates, Science Olympiad Certificates and participation certificates from universities across the globe.
Minister of State for States and Frontier Regions Shehryar Afridi was chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he congratulated the Roots Millennium Education on being a mark of academic excellence and a gateway to opportunities for the youth. He highlighted the significance of nationalism and stressed that it is the need of the hour to promote Pakistan’s languages, values, culture, norms, and above all the positive image of the country at all levels. He expressed his deep concern about the 20 million out-of-school children and emphasized that students from all strata of society should get equal educational opportunities.
He underscored the collective responsibility of all Pakistanis as a nation to endorse the narrative of Pakistan before the world. He urged the youth to be proud of their roots and never to compromise on their national integrity.
In the end, he appreciated Roots Millennium Education’s commitment to the overall development of students who, alongside academics, are seen on the forefront at all national and international mega events.
Roots Millennium Education Chief Executive Officer Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq talked about the multitude of initiatives that have been introduced and successfully implemented by the institution. His discourse revolved around stimulating the youth of Pakistan and bringing out the best in them to equip them with the skills of decision-making, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity.
