RAWALPINDI: The situation along the Line of Control (LoC) remained “relatively calm” during the last 24 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Tuesday, after days of intense unprovoked firing by Indian forces.
The Indian Army, however, deliberately targetted civilian population, resorting to unprovoked fire in Hot Spring sector, according to a statement issued by the ISPR. Consequently, a 26-year-old citizen Sharafat s/o Abdul Qayyum, resident of village Dara Sher Khan, got injured.
Pakistan Army troops effectively responded to Indian border posts undertaking the fire, the statement said.
In maritime domain, the Pakistan Navy continues its effective vigilance and alertness.
“PN detected an Indian Navy submarine south of Pakistani coast. Pakistan Navy’s alert and vigilant presence displayed the capability to deter and safeguard the sea front against any misadventure,” the statement read further.
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) also continues its vigilance and state of readiness, it added.
