Education Play an important roles in the progress and development of a society therefore students must focus on their study. These views were expressed by Assistant Commissioner Baizai Shaibzada Asghar Ali while addressing on the eve of “Volunteers Recruitment Drive” here at Government Middle School Bahi Daag border area of Baizai at Mohmand District.
On the occasion District Secretary PRCS Mohmand Fauzee Khan, District Program Officer Irfan Ullah, District Liaison Officer Community Based Risk Education Program Amjad Ali, Volunteers, teachers, students and the area peoples were also present. District Program Officer Irfan Ullah briefed the audience about the importance of volunteerism. He urged the volunteers to take keen interest in disaster management (DM) and others basic trainings for the welfare of the area.
District Secretary PRCS Fauzee Khan said that the efforts of the Red Crescent to train target groups of youth/Girls for voluntary work so that the Pakistan Red Crescent was able to attain their objective of providing “one first-aider in every home”.
He added that PRCS core areas of works included Disaster Management, Relief work during and after disasters (Natural or manmade), health & Care, Promotion of Humanitarian values and Organizational Development.
“PRCS trained more than 500 Levies/Khassadar and 400 community peoples in all over the agency” said Khan.
Assistant Commissioner Asghar Ali told that Volunteers play an important role in building resilient community therefore student’s first focus on their study and then get trainings.
He urged the school’s students to only focus on study because education plays a vital role in the development of a society.
