Chinese New Year was celebrated here at the Marriot Hotel, with audience enthralled by traditional Lion Dance.
Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing was guest of honour at the reception hosted by Deputy Chairman and CEO of Hashoo Group Murtaza Hashwani and General Manager of Islamabad Marriott Hotel Maurizio Romani at the hotel’s popular Chinese restaurant Dynasty in keeping up with the tradition of celebrating the Chinese New Year. Members of civil society, diplomats and a number of Chinese nationals attended the reception.
The celebrations kicked off with the traditional Lion Dance, which has a been a part of the Chinese culture for many centuries. Adding to the festivities, the guests experienced the debut of a special menu curated by Chinese chef Zubin.
The special menu will be available to all the diners for dinner for an entire week in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
