Prime Minister Imran Khan will undertake official visits to Qatar and Turkey in the first month of the new year.
Daily Times has learnt that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Qatar was earlier planned for 29th and 30th of December but now it has been rescheduled for January 2019.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had spoken to the amir of Qatar on December 25 and told him about his plan to visit Qatar in January 2019.
Speaking to Daily Times, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said he would visit Qatar on 30 December to finalise draft agreements and MOUs to be signed during the visit of the PM.
Prime Minister Imran Khan would visit Turkey in the third week of January 2019. This would be Prime Minister’s first official visit to Turkey. Dates of both visits are being worked out through diplomatic channels and would be made public once they have been finalised.
During the visit to Turkey, PM Khan would meet both the Prime Minister and the President of the country.
A number of MOUs and agreements are expected to be signed during both visits.
