One person died while two others were seriously injured after a car fell into the river on Saturday, the police said.
According to the details, a car, coming to Balakot city from Paras, skidded off road and plunged in River Kunhar in Malkandi. The driver of the car, identified as Noor Muhammad and resident of Dara Mansehra, died on the spot while two others Niaz Shah and Shafqat Shah, hailing from Shigarha Paras, were critically injured.
The locals and police personnel, through a joint operation, pulled up the bodies and injured and shifted them to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Balakot where the body was handed over to the heirs after post-mortem and the injured were referred to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Mansehra.
