A security man was martyred and another injured in a cross-border firing from Afghanistion on a checkpost in Kurram, local sources said.
According to details, miscreants from Afghanistan’s Khost province targeted a picketing party of Khataka Post some three kilometres south east of Bezo Sar, sources said.
Lance Naik Rehmanullah of the Frontier Corps was martyred during the attack, sources said, adding that the wounded security man was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
After the attack, security personnel in the area launched retaliatory fire.
