Pakistani soldier Maqbool Hussain who remained in unlawful detention of India for 40 years was buried on Wednesday. The funeral prayers of the legendary soldier were attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa and other high-ranking military officials.
The brave soldier got injured during the war of 1965 and was taken prisoner by the Indian Army. Later, after spending 40 years in Indian jails, he was released during 2005. He was a recipient of Sitara-e-Jurrat.
According to a statement give by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor, Sepoy Maqbool Hussain breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital in Attock on Tuesday, where he had been admitted for the past few months.
