LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said PTI chief Imran Khan and PML-N lifetime head Nawaz Sharif are ‘supporters of Taliban’ and that is why they do not speak against the banned outfit.
While addressing various corner meetings during electioneering at Yar Muhammad Colony and other areas on Wednesday, Khuhro said PPP has suffered from terrorism and party leaders and hundreds of activists have fell victims to it.
He said during the war between truth and falsehood, success is always achieved by the truthful. Khuhro said PPP leadership was being targeted for being able to garner massive support from the people, but it is the people who will decide the country’s fate, he added.
Khuhro said those who are comparing development of Larkana with that of Lahore should see the ‘development works’ in Lahore which stand exposed after recent heavy rainfalls.
Taking jabs at PML-N lifetime head Nawaz Sharif, Khuhro said that the ex-PM fled the country after reaching agreement with the ‘dictator’, adding that anti-PPP forces have no proper program for the masses hence people will not support and vote for them.
Khuhro also offered his condolences to the bereaved families of Haroon Bilour and other workers who lost their precious lives in Peshawar suicide attack on Tuesday night. He termed it as a conspiracy of terrorist attacks over democrats.
Political secretary to Bilawal, Jamil Soomro, said that those who are contesting elections against the PPP chief neither have a proper program nor any manifesto for the welfare of the people.
PS-11 candidate Nida Khuhro, daughter of Nisar Khuhro, said that if elected, she will become the voice of downtrodden and poverty-ridden people in Sindh.
