UMERKOT: Activists of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Shaheed Bhutto on Tuesday staged a demonstration to demand the arrest of the accused involved in the alleged forcible conversion of a Hindu girl while other parties held rallies to stop the propaganda in this case.
PPP Shaheed Bhutto workers were holding placards inscribed with their demands of the early recovery of Ravita alias Gulnaz. Speaking on the occasion in front of the local press club they said that marriage of Ravita is against related laws and justice. They stressed over of her early and safe recovery and production before the court of law.
It is important to mention here that High Court circuit bench Hyderabad has issued notice to produce Ravita alias Gulnaz along with her parents and accused Nawaz Shah on June 21 on the application of her father through advocate Bhagwandas pledging the abduction and forcible conversion.
Qurban Rajar SHO Dano dhandal said that the double bench of the High court Hyderabad had already issued the protection orders of the couple up to 30the June. Consequently upon a counter application of Ravita’s father. Meanwhile, a demonstration of Ahal-e-Sunnat-wa-Jimaet, Ghousia Jimaet and Jeelani Jimaet marched from different streets of Umerkot to press club to stop the propaganda with blasphemous contents on social media in the wake of Ravita alias Gulnaz case.
Speaking the protesters Noor Mohammad Udhepuri said that there was planned propaganda against Islam and its promoters which will not tolerated. He added that there has been religious harmony which is under threat now as some forces are putting efforts to affect that pluralism.
