LAHORE: Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, said that Ilm-o-Aman Foundation has been serving humanity irrespective of creed and colour differences and resolved that the foundation will continue to struggle for interfaith dialogue and inter-sect harmony in the country.
Addressing the meeting of Central Consultative Council of Ilm-o-Aman Foundation on Sunday, Ashrafi said that a true Muslim remained steadfast in deliverance of his responsibilities towards God and humanity. With the consent of the central office-bearers of Ilm-o-Aman Foundation, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi also announced to designate Ammar Baloch as Secretary General of Ilm-o-Aman Foundation. The central consultative meeting of AIlm-o-Aman Foundation was also attended by Mian Rashid Munir, Abu Bakar Usman Qasmi, Dr Khalid Rauf, Abdul Qayyum Farooqi, Ashfaq Patafi, Muhammad Bilal, Zubair Zahid, Qari Abdul Hakeem Athar, Tahir Aqeel Awan, Abdul Hameed Sabri and Nauman Hashir. Speaking at this occasion, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said that Ramazan is practical demonstration for deliverance of ‘Haqooq-ul-Allah and Haqooq-ul-Ibad’. He added that ‘Iftaar-Saim Programs’ are being carried out successfully with coordinated support of Ilm-o-Aman Foundation in the ongoing holy month of Ramazan and special ‘Eid Packages’ are also being distributed among the needy and poor segments of the society. Special relief programs will also be started in deserted areas of ‘Thar’ and Baluchistan after Eid-ul-Fitr and ‘Clean-Water Plants’ will also be established in different far-flung areas of the country with support of Ilm-o-Aman Foundation, said Ashrafi.
Pakistan Ulema Council has been making coordination with various religious organizations for interfaith dialogue and inter-sect harmony in the country to annihilate menace of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence from the country, said Ashrafi, adding that Ilm-o-Aman Foundation believes in serving the humanity irrespective of creed and color differences.
