A moderate intensity earthquake on Saturday jolted Swabi and adjoining areas in Mardan district. According to the seismological report, the intensity of tremors recorded 3.9-magnitude on the Richter Scale. Luckily, no casualty or damage was reported. Seismological reports stated that the depth of the quake was 20-kilometer with an epicentre in western Iran. Earlier on Sunday last, a moderate intensity earthquake jolted Mingora and adjoining areas in Swat district. This was the third earthquake in the current month. The intensity of tremors was recorded on 4.7 magnitude at Richter scale, according to a seismological report. The earthquake tremors were felt across Mingora town and adjoining areas at 6:14am. The depth of the quake was 110 kilometres with epicentre in the mountain range in the border area of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, according to seismological reports.
