Senior faculty members, administration officials and other employees of the University of Gujrat (UoG) met Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shabbar Atiq on Monday to condole the passing away of his father in Lahore.
The condolence meeting was held at the main mosque of Hafiz Hayat Campus which was attended by deans, senior faculty members, directors, HoDs, administration officials and other staff of the varsity. They offered fateha and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. The vice chancellor thanked the participants for expressing sorrow and grief on the demise of his father.
People from all walks of life in addition to a large number of UoG employees attended the funeral of Dr Shabbar Atiq’s father in Lahore.
Earlier on Thursday, a Quran Khawani session was held at Hayat Hafiz Campus in which a large number of students and university employees participated and prayed for the deceased.
