Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that under the leadership of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the role of Pakistan Army in the war against corona is highly commendable. He was talking to Provincial Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik, PTI Central Punjab President Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry, and Overseas Commission Punjab Vice Chairman Muhammad Waseem Ramey who called on him on Wednesday. Coronavirus is proving dangerous for entire humanity and economies across the world including Pakistan. Opposition should shun the policy of politicizing the matter rather stands by the government institutions fighting corona pandemic. “Together we all have to protect 220 million people from corona pandemic.” According to details, the matters including anti-corona measures were discussed during the meetings with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar at Governor House Lahore. Speaking on this occasion, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that war against corona has become war of nation and country’s survival, and Pakistan cannot afford any laxity in this regard. It is need of the hour that opposition while setting aside political interest must support the government in the war against corona because corona spread is destructive for the country and the nation. The people should also stay home instead of roaming on streets without any purpose so that they can prevent themselves and others from this fatal virus. History is evident that Prime Minister Imran Khan never advocated for personal gains but for national interests.
