The funeral prayers for the Pakistan Army officers martyred in North Waziristan were held on Saturday.
The funeral prayers for martyred Lt Colonel Raashid Karim Baig were offered at Gilgit. The chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan Army officers attended the funeral. The funeral prayers of army officer Captain Arifullah were offered in Lakki Marwat on Saturday. A large number of people attended his funeral prayers which were offered in his native village of Tajazai. Major Moeez Maqsood Baig was laid to rest in Muhammad Shah graveyard in North Karachi on Saturday. A large number of army officials and people from all walks of life attended the funeral. Captain Irfan Ullah was laid to rest in his hometown with a large number of officers and locals attending his funeral.
On Friday, four Pakistan Army personnel were martyred and four others injured during a blast caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Kharkamar, North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
