Three members of a family lost lives to unknown assailants on Sunday in the jurisdiction of Omar Zai Police Station in Charsadda.
According to sources, gunmen stormed inside a house in Charsadda and opened fire on three brothers, who all died on the spot.
After the assault, they managed to flee from the murder scene. However, the cause behind the killings could not yet be ascertained.
Earlier on October 30, 2018, a similar incident of multiple killings gunned down four members of a family in Ghamarzai, Charsadda.
According to police sources, the killer, a member of the family, had opened indiscriminate fire at his mother; sister-in-law; niece and a cousin. All four had died on the spot.
Another similar series of murder was reported in Sargodha in June, wherein five members of a family, including a woman and three children, were killed by unidentified gunmen.
As per details, armed assailants had charged inside a house in Chak 11 of Sargodha’s Bhalwal tehsil; opening indiscriminate fire at members of the family. A man, his wife and their two sons and a daughter had died of fatal bullet wounds on the spot.
The deceased couple was identified as Muhammad Tufail (50) and his wife Majeeda Bibi (40). The children killed in the attack aged between 16 and 20 years.
