ISLAMABAD: During the hearing of Alaziza reference case the joint investigation head, Wajid Zia appeared before the court today. Application for exemption of five days was submitted by the name of Nawaz and Maryam, though court only gave an exemption for three days. The medical reports of Kulsoom Nawaz were also presented before the court.
Khwaja Haris, Nawaz’s counsel stated that the proceedings should be continued after the directions from the Supreme Court are received and till then it’s requested not give the verdict on references separately. Haris requested the judge, Muhammad Bashir, that he has given the verdict in the Avenfieldd reference, so he should separate himself from Flagship and Alaziza reference, letting the Supreme Court decide. He added further,”We want all the references to be decided simultaneously once the letter has been written to the Supreme Court ”.
He also told that the hearing should be postponed till July 16 as Nawaz and Maryam will be back by Friday.
