ISLAMABAD: Joint Investigating Team (JIT) formed by Supreme Court of Pakistan summons Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Muhmammad Shehbaz Sharif for putting government machinery to misuse for preventing any progress in the investgative procedures to learn more about family’s offshore assets.
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) had already summoned Prime Minister on 15th June to appear before the JIT in Judicial Academy. Chief Minister and his son Hamza Shehbaz are involved in a 17 years old Hudaibya Paper Mills scam, according to National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
According to the final reference by NAB, “There was an unexplained investment of Rs642.743m appearing in books of the HPM as share deposit money. The same belonged to the directors/shareholders and beneficial owners of the company which they had fraudulently amassed under the garb of foreign equity investment.”
A day earlier Law Minister Punjab, Rana Sana Ullah in a statement advised the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to summon Shehbaz Sharif as he knows all the answers.
