Awareness & Prevention (A&P) Wing of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore organized a lecture and awareness walk at Government Islamia Degree College, Sambrial, on Tuesday.
In pursuance of the vision of Chairman NAB, Justice Javed Iqbal and following the directions of Director General, NAB Lahore the A&P Wing has been conducting various activities in far off areas of Punjab to aware new generation with anti-corruption activities and to prepare them to rise against corruption.
Principal Govt Islamia Degree College, Sambrial paid the welcome address. While addressing with the students the Director NAB Lahore, Syed Muhammad Hasnain highlighted the performance of NAB Lahore in the wake of eradication of corruption from society. He told that during last 3 years, NAB Lahore recovered Rs 15 billion and Rs.810 Million from corrupt elements with a sharp increase of 280% per year and the same is being deposited in National Kitty. Moreover, he stated that during the span of last 3 years NAB Lahore arrested 655 corrupt elements which depict an abrupt increase of 160% in enforcement activities. Similarly, the historic Indirect Recovery of more than Rs 53 billion has also been made possible during last 3 years with our comparative increase of 890% Indirect Recoveries.
At the end of the event an Awareness Walk was also arranged in which principal of the college, professors, NAB Officers and students participated and committed to be connected with NAB in the cause of eradication of corruption from society.
