As many as 37 Iranian pilgrims who had been quarantined in DG Khan for 14-days, reached in Multan here Friday.
According to source, District Commissioner, Amir Khtak and other officials received the pilgrimages at Sher Shah Toll plaza on their arrival.
On this occasion, talking to media Amir Khtak said all of them were declared negative in COVID-19
test, after spending fixed time period of 14-days at the quarantine center. About 25 pilgrimages belonged to Multan, 10 from Shujabad tehsil and two are resident of Jalapur Pirwala. They were safely sent back to their homes, said a district government official.
The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan jumped to 1,235 on Friday after more cases were reported from Gilgit Baltistan, Lahore Sindh and Islamabad.
The health authorities have reported 40 new cases during the last 24 hours in the country. The disease has claimed nine lives across Pakistan whereas eight patients are reported to be in serious condition while, 30 patients were stated to be discharged from different hospitals after complete recovery.
