Leadership of different religious schools of thought and religious organisations demanded of the PTI government and opposition alliance to settle all the political issues amicably.
The meeting also condemned baseless propaganda against security Institutions and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan stating that clerics and Mashaykh of Pakistan are protectors of Islamic Sections of the Constitution of Pakistan and belief on the Finality of Prophethood.
Leadership of different religious schools of thought attended a Convention that held here on Wednesday in aegis of Pakistan Ulema Council at Jamia Manzoorul Islamia Lahore to pay homage to the services of Maulana Abdul Hameed Watto for Islam and Muslims. Ulemas and Mashaykh underlined that amidst prevailing challenges of Muslim Ummah, Pakistan can’t afford confrontational politics and stressed that interfaith dialogue is need of the hour for peace, harmony and stability in the world. Ulemas and Mashaykh also announced to arrange Rehmatul Alameen conferences during the month of Rabiul Awal and Rabiul Sani.
Addressing the convention, Ulemas and Mashaykh of different religious schools of thought including Maulana Abdul Karim Nadeem,Qazi Matiullah Saeedi, Maulana Asadullah Farooq, Pir Asad Habib Shah Jamali, Maulana Zubair Abid, Allama Aseedur Rehman, Maulana Aslam Siddique, Sufi Muhavia Wattto. The clerics and Mashaykh stated that enemies of Pakistan aimed at fanning collision between law enforcement agencies and religious sections of Pakistan. Conspiracies are being made to make propaganda against security institutions and religious forces.
The Convention also lauded dialogues between government and Opposition. The Convention also underlined that belief on the Finality of Prophethood is basic part of every Muslim’s faith and rejected baseless propaganda against PTI government relating to acknowledge Status of Israel. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are the only two countries of Muslim world, which have no linkage with Israel. The clerics while addressing the convention also announced that some elements use to utilize Palestine issue and belief on Finality of Prophethood for their vested interests. They also urged on PTI government to keep focus on Kashmir issue adding that a National Committee should be constituted on Kashmir issue. Ulemas Mashaykh Convention also added that Kashmir and Palestine are burning issues of Muslim Ummah and Muslim world has to get united to resolve these issues.
