Consul General of France Didier Talpain said that Sanofi is playing a big role in fighting a lot many diseases in Pakistan. As regards Polio Resource Centre, he said Sanofi was one of the main members to do this in coordination with the Rotary Club.
Regarding the importance of the Polio Resource Centre, he said, “This is a perfect illustration of what an integrated centre is; to have both school and medical centre in one building. For me, education and health are the two most important things. Here, we have two in one, which is a great achievement.”
He said Sanofi is the only one to manufacture vaccines against polio. Sanofi provides doses at very affordable prices, which are very important. And these doses are always provided on time, which is another challenge. The vaccine doses are both produced and delivered and this is a great achievement by Sanofi and is supported by Sanofi friends.
Elaborating on how French companies are making a difference in improving education and healthcare in Pakistan, he said, “There are a certain number of French enterprises; to be honest, not many, so would like to attract more. There are a few big names. The challenge for us is to attract more. So they could help us in the business, as well as, in the social and medical sectors.”
