PM-Imran-Khan-Karachi-visit-Daily-times-DT-Prime-minister-PkOverseas and local Pakistanis have requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to order CDA chairman to develop sectors D 13 and E 13 on merit, immediately, saying that commercial areas and residential plots could raise Rs 100 billion for the government.
In an open letter, they said that D 13 and E 13 on merit were to be developed 12 years back, as per acquisition of land in D 13 and E 13 by CDA and award announced by CDA on August 22, 2008.
During the last 12 years, CDA illegally and in connivance with CDA mafia and 62 private housing societies, did not develop sectors D 13 and E 13.
The overseas Pakistanis said they had invested when the rate of dollar was Rs 61 but today it was Rs 156, hence, they had already lost a lot of money.
They said D 13 commercial area (Markaz ) had 60 acres and E 13 (Markaz ) had 59.41 acres of land for commercial use. Plus in E 13 another commercial area named “Entertainment Zone” has 53 acres designated. I.e just sector E 13 has 100 acres of commercial space available.
Lastly, they said both huge commercial areas if properly designed for high rise buildings, plus residential plots out of the 75% area in D 13 and E 13 stay with the CDA. Reason, these sectors are on a land sharing formula, i.e, for every 4 kanals acquired by CDA the investors get a 1 kanal CDA plot, therefore the balance of 3 kanals on each plot goes to CDA. It means that 75% of the entire residential area will remain with CDA, out of which they will make roads etc.
They requested the PM to remove all corrupt officials in CDA as CDA is the most corrupt organisation in Pakistan. This will boost 500 times more overseas Pakistanis investments, when CDA is clean, they concluded.
