As many as four more HIV positive cases emerged at Taluka Headquarters Hospital screening camp on Friday out of 85 tested – all of them children. The toll has climbed to 876, out of which 719 are children and 157 adults. However, the Sindh AIDS Control Programme (SACP) claimed that no positive case was detected at other outreach sites of Naundero, Banguldero, Lashari, Pir Bux Bhutto of Larkana district and Garhi Yasin of Shikarpur district, where only 14 persons were tested for HIV. Meanwhile, eight-year-old HIV positive child Abdul Basit, son of Ghulam Mustafa Tunio, died on Friday. His parents also alleged that no proper medical treatment was given to him due to which he lost his life.
