To ensure proper court decorum and smooth functioning of the Supreme Court, special measures have been taken to beef up security in the premises of the Supreme Court for today (Friday). A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Asif Saeed Khosa will hear Civil Review Petition No 279/2019, filed on behalf of Nawaz Sharif. In view of the limited seating capacity in the courtroom, the entry will be regulated through special security passes to be issued by SP (Security) Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad. Only the petitioners/respondents whose cases are fixed in the court will be allowed to enter the premises. However, advocates and journalists who regularly come for Supreme Court proceedings will be exempted from passes. With regard to the general public who wants to witness the proceedings of the case may also contact the SP (Security) Supreme Court, for security passes. Entry to the court building will be allowed after checking/frisking and searching of bags/purses etc. No mobile phone is allowed inside the courtroom.
