LAHORE: Electricity supply in the provincial capital suffered heavy disruption after light rain during the midnight hours of Wednesday caused over 150 feeders to trip.
According to the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) spokesman, following the rainstorm in Lahore, over 150 feeders tripped.
Rawalpindi, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Bhakkar, Jhang and adjoining areas of Punjab experienced light rain, along with the disappearance of electricity, forcing the public to start their fasts in complete darkness.
The tripped feeders will be restored soon, the spokesman added.
According to Met Office forecast for today, rain showers are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Moreover, there is prediction of a thunderstorm in Quetta.
