A high level director’s conference was held under the chairmanship of DG ACE Gohar Nafees at ACE Headquarters Lahore on Friday. All the regional as well as directors at headquarters office participated in the conference.
A 14-point agenda including progress on sugar commission report followed by recoveries and flour subsidy scam in food department were discussed in the apex meeting.
Addressing the participants, DG Gohar Nafees said that people’s trust on ACE has increased recently due to result based working of Punjab’s premier investigation and accountability agency. He said there was a need to expedite investigation on all high profile cases including long due payment to sugarcane growers by the mill owners. He said brilliant work done by officers sugar commission report has begun yielding results as huge recoveries have poured in.
He directed all the directors to compile a thorough report on reoccupation if retrieved star land within a week . He directed to compile another report about the big wigs and facilitators of the Qabza Mafia as well. He said that it was pertinent to ensure in-house accountability and justice within the ACE . He said that we are people’s hope and we must work transparently and honestly to live up to common man’s trust.
