The lady police constable, who had been slapped by a lawyer after she told him not to park his car at a checkpoint, decided to resign from her post, on Sunday. She was being mentally tortured by the influential lawyer who slapped her, said lady police constable Faiza.
She joined the police force to serve people but knew that she would not get justice after being slapped, Faiza said. “I am being mentally tortured,” the lady constable said.
She was being pressurized to such an extent that she should either commit suicide or leave the city, Faiza added. “I cannot fight with this mafia,” she said and demanded the authorities for protection.
