National Highway Authority (NHA), on Friday, undertook an Anti-Encroachment Operation, stretching from Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (EME) College to Tarnol on Peshawar Road (N-5), following a special directive from Federal Minister for Communications & Postal Services, Murad Saeed. All establishments falling on the Right of Way (ROW) along National Highway were cleared from encroachments and, to date, a number of shops, khokhas, bus bays and land encroached by filling stations were vacated. However, land measurement at dubious locations was still underway while notices were being served to encroachers to clear the land.
