Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has announced to hold three days “Jashn-e-Pindi” festival on April 21 at Nawaz Sharif Park Rawalpindi.
While talking with Daily Times, Chairman PHA Asif Mehmood informed that more than 38 different activities including music concerts, fireworks and games competition will be held in the festival.
The festival would feature various events including a family gala, food festival, kids’ arena, different competitions, flowers exhibition etc., he added.
He said that the recent years have witnessed the decreasing traditional flavor in the way people of Rawalpindi used to celebrate the traditional festivals, including the Spring Festival.
Chairman PHA said, It’s no secret that the celebration of such events is dying in the city, however, Rawalpindi will soon see its revival.
The inaugural ceremony of the festival will be held on April 21 at Nawaz Sharif Park and hopefully Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar will attend the inaugural ceremony as chief guest, Asif Mehmood said.
