Qomi Awami Tehreek (QAT) Shikarpur, on Tuesday, held a poll to elect district representatives for Shikarpur, under the supervision of central leaders, Zahid Ghalo and Maqsood Soomro.
The leaders noted that Din Muhammad Shaikh and Zafar Ali Channa Advocate were elected as QAT Shikarpur President and General Secretary respectively while Syed Wajid Ali Shah was elected as Senior Vice President, Imdad Soomro as Vice President, Syed Asif Ali Shah as Joint General Secretary, Shahnawaz Abro as Treasurer, Qadeer Soomro as Office Secretary and Zahid Bhanbhro as Press Secretary.
Nihal Khan Bhanbhro and Aamir Suhail Babar won the seats of QAT Khanpur President and General Secretary, respectively, while Zaheer Junejo and Zaheer Ghanghro were elected as QAT Ghari Yasin President and General Secretary. Zahid Ghalo then talked about the core issues of Sindh that were not getting resolved, and thus, it was the party’s responsibility, and the need of the hour, to address the outstanding problems of people of Sindh. Din Muhammad Shaikh added to this and declared that Shikarpur, like the rest of Sindh, was also facing a number of issues.
The elected leaders must own their city to resolve the outstanding core issues and work for the welfare of the people of Shikarpur district. A large number of workers vowed to launch an awareness campaign in Sikarpur with an emphasis on the district’s issues.
