KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Saturday has fired over 50 employees for holding fake degrees.
The national carrier in its statement said that the authority has fired the employees on the instruction of Supreme Court for holding fake degree.
According to the PIA statement 3 pilots and 50 crew staff members have been fired from PIA in fake degree case.
A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar on Tuesday issued a deadline of December 28 to Civil Aviation Authority for completing the verifications of the degrees of pilots.
Earlier in January this year, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar had taken notice of alleged appointments of employees in PIA holding fake degrees.
