KARACHI: The moon for the Islamic month of Rabiul Awwal has been sighted and hence the 12th Rabiul Awwal will fall on Monday, December 12.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met on Wednesday evening for sighting of the Rabiul Awwal moon. Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman presided the meeting of the moon sighting body.
The body reviewed testimonies received from different parts of the country pertaining to the Rabiul Awwal moon. Rehman, shortly after the meeting, announced the sighting of the moon.
“The 12th of Rabiul Awwal will be observed on Monday, December 12,” he confirmed.
